Please, please, please stop switching me back to the WYSIWYG editors!
I'm so tired of having it change in the middle of my work. I just spent 10 minutes trying to change it back only to have it revert right back to it again.
@kmccay they will eventually be sunsetting the old editor, so you won't always have that option to go back. I'd encourage you to click the "leave feedback" button and share your feedback with the product team, and specifically share what you dislike about the new editor. I've also seen some Atlassian folks here on the forum jumping in and answering questions too because often the same things are possible as with the other editor, just requires a different keystroke or click.

@kmccay I would also add that we (Trello) are not changing that setting. So that behavior is unexpected.
When you toggle the new Editor off, we set an override locally in the browser in local storage. We don't store that override on the server. If it's getting unset and you're not clearing browser data intentionally, that might indicate something is wrong with your browser.
You might try clearing localStorage completely. Though this would discard any draft descriptions or comments, so you might want to proceed with caution.
This is still not fixed. Copy and paste into comments comes in a image if coming from word document. Doesn't happen if I revert to legacy. Please let those of us who don't need the formatting and don't want the limitations and issues with the new editor keep the old version
I HATE the new editor with a passion. If I cannot permanently keep it OFF then I will seriously consider another way of managing my information.
It is not intuitive enough and keeps adding extra spacing after each paragraph WHICH I DO NOT WANT. Let me keep single line spacing for everything and don't try to second-guess what my formatting needs are.
Oh Trello, your new text editor is a mess It's slow, it's clunky, it causes distress Why did you fix something that wasn't broken? Now my work's a struggle, my time's been stolen
I hate this editor, I despise it so It's a source of frustration, it's a terrible blow Please fix it quickly, before it's too late Or else I'll have to find another mate
In conclusion, Trello, hear my plea Your new editor is not for me It's a disaster, a real pain Please make it better, or face my disdain.
I would suggest that anyone who wants to retain the ability to toggle the new editor on/off leave "official" feedback outside of these forums.
To do so, enable the editor temporarily, then go to any card and edit it. In the lower-right corner there's a link to leave feedback about the new editor.
We've been having some issues with how some of internal systems interact with Trello's Markdown language. It causes certain links to mis-format, which breaks our internal reporting when those links are imported from Trello. As a result we found it necessary to deactivate the WYSIWYG option.
Please keep the "disable WYSIWYG" option available.
When I put a Divider in the description field of my card it shows a divider line. When I go back to the description later, the line has changed to ---. How do I make it stay an actual line?

@kmccay that's a bug that slipped through late yesterday. We shipped a fix for it this morning. If you refresh your browser, you shouldn't encounter that bug anymore.
The text editor is implemented for all users, even for those who are proficient in the markdown syntax. To disable it, you have to perform complex actions. It's bad.
Just want to reiterate that anyone who isn't happy with the new interface should submit feedback for it.
As described elsewhere, this can be done by enabling the new editor, which will add a "Feedback" link in the bottom right corner of the editor.
I don't know if this is new, but I also noticed that the feedback icon also offers an option to turn the new editor back off, which is a bit easier than remembering/finding the /labs URL.

Hi there! I wanted to let you all know that we've fixed the issue that was causing text from Microsoft Word to paste as an image (rather than as text) in Trello.
We're still looking into a similar issue for other Microsoft products, but for now, you can get around this by right clicking in the description and selecting "Paste and Match Style."
What is the point of the read-only markdown view? If there's a markdown version at all, it should be editable. It is easier to type markdown that it is to use a wysiwyg editor - this new editor has got that backwards.
Don't think you can even type markdown in the new editor. Once it's converted what you've typed to wysiwyg, you can't delete and retype if you've made a mistake - you then need to go back to clicking your mouse, or figuring out a whole new set of keyboard shortcuts.
The lack of consistency, with the main card description being the new wysiwyg editor but the comments still being markdown, feels bad.
antes me permitia insertar celdas de excel en formato de imagen sin necesidad de editar la imagen y ahora ya no puedo que puedo hacer para que se me permita esa accion de nuevo?
