Differences between ACP-610 and ACP-620 (or Jira Datacenter and Cloud project administration)

Edited

Hi, I recently did the ACP-620 successfully. Now I want to do the ACP-610.

Does anyone know the learn content differences from a practical point of view (using Jira) and/or from a exam point of view?
Until now, I only know that automation is 620-exclusive.

For example, are there cloud-only reports? Is permissions working the exact same way except for the names (e.g. Site admin in cloud = System Admin in DC)

Thanks!

Hello, @Harald Heinz ! Welcome to the Atlassian Community!

A big difference between Server/Data Center and Cloud is that there are no Team-Managed Projects in Server/Data Center, so you won't be tested on those on the ACP-610 exam.

Reports are the same.  Permissions structure are the same.

Project Admins do have the ability to configure workflows and screens (in VERY special circumstances).

Here's a link to ACP-610 details: https://university.atlassian.com/student/activity/843992-acp-610-managing-jira-project-for-data-center-certification

Hi Atlassian community,

We are super pleased to announce that the Managing Jira Projects for Cloud Certification (ACP-620) now has a bundled Exam Success Course. Your purchase comes with a voucher to take your exam plus the comprehensive study companion. It has tons of sample questions, exam hints, and thorough explanations of key concepts. Students who complete an Exam Success increase their exam score by +6 points on average.

So if you're preparing for this Cloud certification (ACP-620, Managing Jira Projects for Cloud), be sure to invest in going through the Exam Success course.

Best wishes and good luck getting certified!  You can do it!

@Harald Heinz  Could you please suggest any tips for passing the  ACP-610 exam ?

@Robert Wen_ReleaseTEAM_ and @Joanna Thurmann fyi - I noticed one error in the ACP-610 lab workbook:

Extended Project Administration permission is not considered in the workbook of the ACP-610 course.
The excercise (as one of the first changes done with project admin Max Taylor) wants you to add a column to the board, which he can not do as per permission setup before (rechecked for missing steps several times).

Found out later this is due to the missing Extended Project Administration permission which would enable him to do so, as there is no status preexisting in the instance.

@Harald Heinz Could you please raise a support ticket for this and include the Lab workbook page(s) and/or Lab number/section, etc. So we will have the course developer take a look. Thank you in advance. And this is a good documentation page on the extended project admin permission.
