We all know the power of an Atlassian credential. It brings credibility, better job prospects, and those endless high fives from coworkers. Atlassian University is about to make it easier for power users to earn a credential on their way to a Certification.
Skills Badges used to be reserved just for Atlassian Certified Professionals, but that’s all about to change. Starting on December 11th, everyone will be able earn a Skills Badge—show the world your Jira and Confluence prowess!
Earn a Skills Badge by taking a short, free Skillbuilder course that provides a deep-dive into a technical topic, then passing an online exam. Earn a Pro Skills Badge by passing an online proctored exam based on an Atlassian University training. While there’s a cost to the Skills Badge exams, we’re reducing those prices, and adding more Skillbuilder courses in January.
Skills Badges are still the best way to extend a Certification, but there’s an update there as well. As of December 11th, Certifications will be valid for a full two years. Just take one of the—now cheaper—Skills Badges exams to extend your related certification(s) for another 24 months. How great is that?!
That’s a lot to cover, so here is a summary of all those changes:
Skills Badges can be earned by anyone.
Skills Badges exams will cost only $20
(Re-takes will be the same price)
Pro Skills Badge exams will cost only $35
(Re-takes will be the same price)
Skillbuilder courses remain free
(And we've already added new courses this month)
Atlassian Certifications will be valid for 24 months… and exams cost less
(Current Certified professionals will see their expiration dates automatically extended.)
December is the season of giving, and Atlassian University is proud to give you the chance to show your stuff with these Skills Badges and Certification updates. Happy learning!
