How to get notifications when reaching a threshold of # of issues

I would like to get notified when a certain filter (for example - # of bugs of a certain team/project) reaches a certain threshold (for example - 15).

How can you do that within Jira?

Is there anyway to do it with Jira automation?

Hi Omer, I don't think it's doable using JIRA out of the box.

But it's possible using Script runner. You define an escalation service that runs every X hours, does the JQL, and if result is more than N, sends the email. For a Groovy developer is not a big deal.

Hi Omer, if you're open to tools other than Automation, Notification Assistant for Jira (we make this) will let you configure this by setting the minimum results value in the UI.
