I intend to implement the DACI framework when I am part of a team. Having a small group with clearly defined roles, I believe we will find this beneficial. This approach could be integrated into the intake process for all requests from our future stakeholders.
I think we definitely need to use Vision and Goals, Signals, and Measures plays in our team. We're developing a product but it seems like the vision is not entirely clear for all team members and as a result some parts of the application is not being delivered as fast as it should and even some designs are a little off the main goal. I should prepare a document that includes different aspects of the product and the client's requirements and then have a meeting with our team to discuss how we should define our vision along the client's and users' requirements. After we have documented the vision and made sure everyone is on the same page, we can work on Goals, Signals, and Measures to keep track of our development and have some valuable data to send to client and stakeholders as we go along.
As a student coming into my final project I will be working with a team. I think it would be useful from the very beginning to use the vision play to make immateriality get an understanding of what the individual team members expect to get out of the 4 month course. As for why I believe a lot of information on who I will be working with and how they think and focus on will be incredibly helpful to how we will interact going forward.
I am going to use the DACI decision making framework with my team from now on. Because I like how it simplifies the decision making process and breaks down everyone into roles so that we can make a better informed decision.
I think the DACI decision making framework is a great framework to drive decision making, especially when making a decision requires many stakeholders from different departments to be involved.
It can enhance communication, ownership and transparency within the organization.
What does success look like mirrors a key item from another training course we use so given that it is reinforcing that, DACI introduction might be easily integrated.
One area where DACI can really help if with our dashboard projects. There is typically a single person who thinks it is useful and has requested(A). However, the people who work with the data day in & day out can provide information on whether the requested visualization will show what is being asked for or interprets the data in the manner desired (C). And there is usually a larger audience beyond that who needs to be informed (I).
The clear approver role helps create an end to the project where do many dashboards get choked out and/or get utilized before there are deployed.
I intend to prioritize running goals, signals and measures with the team for my strategic guidance choice. I feel this is the most important of all the different "play" types because it help with keeping the team on track or pace with the current workload. Creating signals for every team member to watch for can be crucial for indicating where the team's progress should be and what should be prioritized at that given moment in time.
I plan to implement the Customer Journey Mapping strategy with my team to better understand how our customers engage with our product. By pinpointing pain points and moments of delight in the user experience, we can prioritize the most impactful improvements.
To achieve this, I will assemble a cross-functional team to map out the entire customer journey. We'll utilize real customer data and personas to ensure the exercise is grounded in reality, making our insights actionable.
This approach aligns seamlessly with our goal of creating a product that meets user needs and delights them at every interaction.
I would use DACI. The reason being as it allows all members of a team fully collaborate by having someone boost the team, idea makers, and a person to say if the idea is good enough or not, This is necessary as if the driver doesn't boost the contributors they wont make as good ideas making them not be approved by the approver or could make the approver have to approve a terrible idea if they don't have their best work. The DACI is good as it allows all to come together and figure out problems to make their best idea.
I'll be using the Custmer Journey Mapping. The reason why is I personally like it the most out of them all. Being able to understand your customer is crucial in designing products. How I'd go about is having a meeting with my team and discussing how certain customers are, and the situations they have along with their mindset
The Customer Journey Mapping stuck out to me because as a game designer, we must always keep our customer in mind as that is what we are designing the product for. I plan to incorporate this play within my team by finding our target audience and forming a persona based on common traits from that target audience and simulate the ways the person reacts to our product. I'd like to do this because I do not want to make something that people would not want to play. I want to create and manage a product that the customers that I care about would take interest in.
I like the team's goals, signals and measures play. Not only is is on everyone to work as a team to come up with a goal. But also I like the idea of the team members coming up with frequent signals just in case something needs to change. We can meet again as a team to make sure everyone is on the same page with these changes. I'm not one to come up with solutions on my own.
I intend to run the vision creation play with my team, we are starting an ambitious new project, and outlining an end goal and aligning the team on it will help us reach a starting point. We will implement this via a zoom meeting with Whiteboard.
As a mid-life career switcher to IT, this definitely reminded me of the Project Based Learning strategies that I used with my middle school students when I was teaching. The driving question in PBL is very similar to revisiting the vision statement, especially during a DACI play. I'm interested in trying DACI with my IT team to keep our goals focused and to motivate us as we continue to grow professionally.
As a beginner website designer aiming to grow into a pro and eventually start my own agency, I really appreciate the concept of Strategic Guidance for achieving goals. Clear direction and shared understanding are crucial not only for teams but also for individual growth. My recent project, a website showcasing Dunkin' Donuts' menu and prices, was highly appreciated by the client, which motivates me to keep improving. I'd love to learn more strategies like these to apply them to my journey as a designer and future game developer!
