In this discussion I'm digging into the Company Managed vs. Team Managed projects. Each one has their own benefits and downfalls, but how do you choose the optimal project type for your specific task?
I'm focusing on 3 main points: permissions, configuration and ease of use.
Team Managed projects provide a simplified permission model suitable for smaller teams. The disadvantage however, is that simplicity may limit advanced access configurations. Company Managed projects offer more control with additional options that require more administration efforts.
Company Managed projects provide greater flexibility, allowing extensive customization of workflows, screens, and fields. This versatility can be beneficial for complex projects but can be a drawback for teams seeking a simple approach.
When it comes to ease of use, Team Managed projects shine with their straightforward setup and user-friendly approach. However, this simplicity can be a disadvantage for larger, more complex projects that may require additional structure and customization.
Company Managed projects provide more structure & control, but their initial setup can be challenging for teams that are just starting.
