I have obtained the user through LDAP and the group data in the ad domain at the same time. However, I found that users cannot be added to the groups created in the "confluence".The LDAP access method is read-only.Is it because something is wrong when I configure LDAP? So I can't add users to the group?
Hi @Li Guoqiang welcome to the community!
Your assumption is correct, if you have a read-only LDAP connection you won't add users LDAP to local groups.
However, you can create the same group in LDAP and add users there. Confluence will identify them as the same group to grant permissions for group members.
Cheers,
Alex
