Customize timezones for "Posted xx hours ago"

Petr Knyttl November 6, 2020

Hi community,

Is there any way to change, customize timezones in div <div class="update-timestamp font-small color-secondary">? For some customers it's confusing to see mix of timezones, in example below it's GMT and EDT and due to daylight savings EST was thrown as the bonus.

For example, this is the content of the recent event (custom text in italic):

Completed

The scheduled maintenance has been completed.

Posted 11 hours ago. Nov 01, 2020 - 23:00 EST

In progress

Scheduled maintenance is currently in progress. We will provide updates as necessary.

Posted15 hours ago. Nov 01, 2020-19:00 EST

Scheduled

We will be performing scheduled database maintenance for Europe
Start Time:
Friday, November 1, 2020 12:00 Midnight GMT
End Time:
Friday, November 1, 2020 4:00 AM GMT
Posted 16 days ago. Oct 21, 2020 - 14:45 EDT

Ideally, timezones can customized per region, or at least using GMT. Any hint to achieve this would be much appreciated.

Thanks,

Petr

Hi @Petr Knyttl -

Modifying the content in the div container could be difficult with what you're trying to achieve. The best way to change your page's entire timezone would be from "Your page" > "Page info".

There currently isn't a workaround to scheduling a maintenance per region using separate timezones. You can only use one timezone that is applied to the entire page.

Hope this helps!
