Subscribing or Unsubscribing to Statuspage Updates via Phone Number

Statuspage provides the option to receive notifications for incidents and maintenance via SMS. This guide will help you subscribe or unsubscribe from receiving updates on your phone.


Subscribing to Statuspage Updates via Phone Number

  1. Navigate to the Status Page: Visit the Statuspage of the service you want to subscribe to. You will see a "Subscribe to Updates" button on the page.

  2. Choose the SMS Notification Option: After clicking the "Subscribe to Updates" button, a pop-up will appear, giving you several options for receiving notifications. Select the SMS option.

  3. Enter Your Phone Number: You will be prompted to enter your phone number to receive updates via SMS. Enter your phone number and click Subscribe.

  4. Receive and Enter OTP: For security reasons, an OTP (One-Time Password) will be sent to your phone number. Enter this code in the field provided on the subscription page to confirm your subscription.

  5. Subscription Confirmation: Once the OTP is verified, you will receive a confirmation message, and you are now subscribed to receive SMS notifications for updates on incidents or maintenance.


Unsubscribing from Statuspage SMS Updates

  1. Find the Unsubscribe Link: Whenever you receive an SMS notification from Statuspage, it will include an option to unsubscribe at the end of the message.

  2. Click on the Unsubscribe Link: Follow the link provided in the SMS. This will redirect you to the subscription management page.

  3. Manage Your Subscription: On the subscription management page, you can choose to unsubscribe from specific components or incidents, or completely stop receiving SMS updates by removing your phone number.


Resubscribing to Statuspage via Phone Number

If you've unsubscribed and want to resubscribe, simply follow the same steps outlined in the "Subscribing to Statuspage Updates via Phone Number" section above.


Troubleshooting

  • OTP Not Received: If you do not receive the OTP after entering your phone number, check to ensure that your number was entered correctly, and try again. If the issue persists, reach out to the support team for the service using Statuspage.

  • Managing Preferences: If you wish to manage your subscriptions at any time, you can visit the Statuspage directly and follow the link provided in your SMS messages to update your subscription preferences.
