Windows local branches not shown in list

Working with a developer who has a Mac, all the local branches they have checked out and are all under the collapsible BRANCHES tree on the left nav pane above TAGS.  One Windows, this doesn't exist, it is only the local branch I am currently viewing.  Every other branch I have pulled into Sourcetree shows in a separate tab with only the one branch in the BRANCHES tree.  Is this an issue or just the way Windows handles the view?

I realized from a collegeaue that I was creating additional repos and checking out one branch for repo connection.  As opposed to hitting the plus, configuring a repo and then checking out multiple branches under that one repo.
