Unable to install SourceTree

We are trying to install SourceTree from

For some reason, the application gets installed, but we get a splash screen and it does not open. We tried installing older versions (after viewing this support article) and they produced the same results.

The logs are empty, so we are unable to troubleshoot further. Any guidance from your team is much appreciated.

I had something that might be the same issue when trying to update to v3.4.10 from within SourceTree.

To make it start up properly again, I found that navigating to the SourceTree.exe file (AppData\Local\SourceTree\), there were multiple folders starting with "app". In my case, I removed the practically empty "app-3.4.10" folder and I was able to start SourceTree again. I have since then manually downloaded the 3.4.10 installer and upgraded that way though so I am now on the latest version.
