Recently SSO has been implemented for accounts in the organisation and Atlassian mentions that if SSO has been enabled, we should use an app password for sourcetree to connect with Bitbucket.org.
I have created an app password, that seems to Authenticate fine via git command line, but we want to continue to use sourcetree to manage our git repositories.
I have already talked with Atlassian support on a ticket and have read around and have tried clearing both the sourcetree credentials, windows credentials on my computer, updating both git and sourcetree versions to the latest ones.
In the popup box to login, I tried putting in my app password and it doesnt accept and shows the box to try again. Since my account requires SSO to log in, I also tried my SSO password with the username, and then my SSO email and password to no avail.
I then also tried using the app password in the credentials section in sourcetree but that also failed. Also tried OAuth, but was still facing issues, and would prefer to use an app password anyway.
