I am using Atlassian Sourcetree 188.8.131.52
I can click on the remote tab and see my bitbucket repositories.
When I try to clone one of my repos it says its not a valid source path/url
When I click on details I get this.
Command: git -c diff.mnemonicprefix=false -c core.quotepath=false ls-remote https://email@example.com/heckubiss/tt.git
Error: remote: Too many invalid password attempts. Log in at https://id.atlassian.com/ to restore access.
fatal: unable to access 'https://firstname.lastname@example.org/heckubiss/tt.git/': The requested URL returned error: 403
Yet When I go to tools-options-authentication and edit my bitbucket account and refresh password it says authentication OK
It is possible to get your account in a state where OAuth tokesn can be generated by REST/Git actions are blocked due to too many invalid attempts.
If you use you browser to explicitly logout/login in to https://bitbucket.org or https:/id.atlassian.com it should reset any locks.
I get this error very often using Smartgit or just the command line (completely independent of Smartgit).
I believe there's some timeout on the Atlassian side. When this problem happens, I can go to a different computer, on a different network even, and log in to Bitbucket. This will fix the problem on the original computer. The problem invariably resurfaces after an extended period of time not accessing Bitbucket.
