I am using Atlassian Sourcetree 2.5.5.0
I can click on the remote tab and see my bitbucket repositories.
When I try to clone one of my repos it says its not a valid source path/url
When I click on details I get this.
"
Command: git -c diff.mnemonicprefix=false -c core.quotepath=false ls-remote https://heckubiss@bitbucket.org/heckubiss/tt.git
Output:
Error: remote: Too many invalid password attempts. Log in at https://id.atlassian.com/ to restore access.
fatal: unable to access 'https://heckubiss@bitbucket.org/heckubiss/tt.git/': The requested URL returned error: 403
"
Yet When I go to tools-options-authentication and edit my bitbucket account and refresh password it says authentication OK
I get this error very often using Smartgit or just the command line (completely independent of Smartgit).
I believe there's some timeout on the Atlassian side. When this problem happens, I can go to a different computer, on a different network even, and log in to Bitbucket. This will fix the problem on the original computer. The problem invariably resurfaces after an extended period of time not accessing Bitbucket.
Hi
It is possible to get your account in a state where OAuth tokesn can be generated by REST/Git actions are blocked due to too many invalid attempts.
If you use you browser to explicitly logout/login in to https://bitbucket.org or https:/id.atlassian.com it should reset any locks.
