It does not accept my password for my account name (agerber_emscharts) nor for my email address (agerber@zoll.com).
Neither for the primary Project (https://bitbucket.org/zolldatasystems/) nor for the root url (https://bitbucket.org/).
The "community help" on this topic is some decades out of date.
SOLVED.
1. Uninstall Source Tree
2. Rename Source Tree app folder to ".1"
-> C:\Users\[USER]\AppData\Local\Atlassian.1
3. Install Source Tree
When SourceTree Installer runs, the first popup screen has 2 buttons.
-> [Bitbucket Server] and [Bitbucket]
If you choose [Bitbucket Server], it is expecting an instance of BitBucket installed on a server on the local network, or at least within your company's infrastructure. The Url is the root of the path to the Bitbucket web services.
-> '[URL]/rest/api/1.0/application-properties'
If you choose [Bitbucket], it is expecting to connect to Atlassian's global Bitbucket cloud.
These connections vary based on your company's security infrastructure and Atlassian license.
A. Windows Authentication - No additional setup need
B. User Authentication - User id and Password to match Bitbucket account which may or may not be synced with other Atlassian accounts.
