This is not a valid source path and login error

I am trying to clone a folder from bitbucket using source tree and it is showing this error.

Command: git -c diff.mnemonicprefix=false -c core.quotepath=false --no-optional-locks ls-remote https://Sherwin_Moscoso@bitbucket.org/tma-it/p2p.git
Output:
Error: remote: Too many invalid password attempts. Log in at https://id.atlassian.com/ to restore access.
fatal: unable to access 'https://bitbucket.org/tma-it/p2p.git/': The requested URL returned error: 403

Hi @Sherwin Moscoso

Welcome to the community.

To refresh your Sourcetree application credential locally, would it be possible for you to try the below steps?

  1. Firstly reset your password using this link - https://id.atlassian.com/login/resetpassword
  2. Ensure you are able to login to Bitbucket Cloud - https://bitbucket.org
  3. Clear stored credentials on your machine

Windows: Navigate to Credential Manager and clear stored credentials related to Bitbucket Cloud.
Mac OS X: Navigate to Keychain Access and clear stored credentials related to Bitbucket Cloud

  4. In your SourceTree app, on the tool bar click "Tools" >> click "Options"
    • On the "Options" window click "Authentication" tab
    • Identify stored credentials to Bitbucket Cloud and remove them.
  5. Once this is done, try to login to perform a git operation authenticating to Bitbucket Cloud once again.

If the issue still persists after that, would you be able to make sure you're using "System Git" for your SourceTree app? - https://confluence.atlassian.com/sourcetreekb/using-embedded-git-or-system-git-in-sourcetree-785323587.html

Let me know how it goes.

Regards,
Mark C

Hi @Mark C ,

I follwed every step in here but still cant close. Got a new error now.

Command: git -c diff.mnemonicprefix=false -c core.quotepath=false --no-optional-locks ls-remote https://Sherwin_Moscoso@bitbucket.org/tma-it/p2p.git
Output:
Error: remote: Invalid username or password
fatal: Authentication failed for 'https://bitbucket.org/tma-it/p2p.git/'

Are you able to check how many accounts linked to my email ? it might be another error or might be something else i dont know, I already reset my password and still stuck to this.

Thanks,

Sherwin Moscoso
