TLS connection problem using SourceTree version 3.0.12.

TLS error connecting to Bitbucket repository. The web page to download the latest version of Sourcetree is throwing a 403 forbidden error.

What is the latest version? Will it fix my TLS issue?

Any other suggestions?

Hello @mikemcallister , welcome to the Community!

The official website at sourcetreeapp.com is the best place to download from as the links will be up to date, but let's try to see if direct downloads help. These are the most recent versions as of this post's writing:

Bitbucket Cloud now only supports TLS 1.2 and above, so it's possible your system is using an older git library instead of Sourcetree's embedded git. You can check this from the git tab in Sourcetree's Tools > Options menu (instructions here) and switch to embedded git instead. I would expect that to clear up the TLS error if it was on system git, although it would be a good idea to update Sourcetree anyway and your system git as well if you can, as several critical security fixes have been released for git.

Cheers,
Daniel
