Sourcetree login - Unable to Log into Sourcetree, but can log into Bitbucket

When logging into Sourcetree the Bitbucket  login prompt appears, but does not accept the current credentials. However, using the same credentials I can log into Bitbucket directly. Tried updating  Git versions. Have Sourcetree 3.0.17.

If you are using basic auth in sourcetree, make sure to use the user id and not the email.
