Sourcetree generates merge on each push request

Hi

I have had a problem for a while, each time I do a push to a git repository it does a merge between the local branch and the remote branch.

the merge has a title like :

Merge branch 'Development' of http://xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx/iyd/galiot into Development

This creates a very confusing git network creating aditional branches and I have not been able to find the option to stop this
