Sourcetree fails to recognize local repository

Edited

We have just cloned the remote repository to a local folder.  We are adding it to sourcetree however the "Add" button remains grayed out.  The error message in dialog box 1 says "This is not a valid working copy path".  The folder being pointed to does have a .git directory as a result of the clone.  When we do git remote -v from that folder it points to the proper remote URL repository.  All other colleagues have successfully been able to carry these steps out but one person remains blocked.  I've tried re-cloning the repository but still no luck.  Please assist.

Does anyone working for Atlassian monitor these pages.  It's been a month with no help or suggestions.
