Sourcetree executable needs Internet to install

The source binaries provided for subjected application “SourceTreeSetup-3.3.8.exe” trying to connect internet to install the software. We are looking at an offline installer(Installer which doesn’t need internet connectivity to install) of source tree.

Can you please let us know if we can get an offline istaller for Sourcetree which is packaged readily to install.

Hi @Krishna S B , welcome to the Community!

For this purpose, I'd recommend using the MSI installer, which is available here as Sourcetree Enterprise. In addition to offline installation, the msi version also has a couple flags available (documented on this knowledgebase page ) to support a silent and automated installation.

Cheers,
Daniel

Hi @Daniel Eads

Thanks for your suggestion. We are trying to use the MSI installer. Questions that have come up is :

1) Can the enterprise guys package it till the installation phase & allow the individual users to register it when they run it first time?

2) Git installation seems to come up after the registration phase. At enterprise, users wont be able to install git at this stage. Is this optional, can it be skipped?

3) If we do choose to skip, should we add git installation as a dependency? How should we configure sourcetree to use GIT from desktop installation?

Cheers

Satish
