Sourcetree Update button disabled - best way to update Sourcetree

Sourcetree is now out of date owing to an update of BitBucket. When looking to update Sourcetree Update the button is disabled.

Questions

1. Why is the button disabled?

2. Best way to update Sourcetree given that the button is disabled?

Thanks.

James

Hi James, welcome to the Community!

We need some more details:

  1. Is Sourcetree asking you to update Bitbucket Server? Which version of Bitbucket Server are you using?
  2. Regarding Sourcetree, are you on Windows or Mac? Which version of Sourcetree do you currently have? Have you tried downloading the latest Sourcetree from our website?
  3. Can you send us a screenshot of the message you get?

Let us know,

Ana

Hi Ana, we've sorted out the problem now, thanks.

Where the update is disabled, we downloaded the latest Sourcetree version and it automatically updated once the install began.

The question remains as to why some instances of Sourcetree have the "update" button disabled - is there some setting for this?

Thanks,

James

Hi James, glad you made it work. We found out that was indeed a bug and the team is fixing it :)

Have a nice day!
