Sourcetree Enterprise MSI - no shortcut in Start Menu after install

Hi,

we are in the works in automating the deployment of Sourcetree Enterprise (msi 2.6.9).

Silent install works well but there is no shortcut in the Start Menu after installation.

Installing on Windows 10 x64 with following command

msiexec /i SourcetreeEnterpriseSetup_2.6.9.msi ACCEPTEULA=1 /q

Any parameter to be added to get the shortcut and/or specify user/system install?

Thanks

Daniel

Hello! Currently the enterprise MSI installer does not create a shortcut. Sorry for the inconvenience!

Thank you Mike,

Any plan to include shortcut properties in a close future?

Having to script Start Menu shortcuts instead of talking directly to the msi is very awkward when using deployment solutions.

Many thanks.

Daniel

@Mike Corsaro,

Is there any follow-up to this from July?  We were hoping that this would have been fixed in the latest version of Sourcetree 3.0.8, but it looks like this is still a bug.  We want to deploy Sourcetree using SCCM, but the MSI does not create the shortcuts after being installed.

We can script the installer to do this, but would prefer the MSI to work properly and create these shortcuts.

For reference, our install string is:
msiexec.exe /i SourcetreeEnterpriseSetup_3.0.8.msi ACCEPTEULA=1 ALLUSERS=2 /qn

Hello! Sorry for the delay -- we're a very small team and it takes us some time to get around to everything. We'll be adding this feature to the installer for the next major release

We just started rolling out ST 3.1.2 Enterprise after a Group Policy change restricted executables in AppData. Now we are trying to have 50 devs reinstall, and they wont have a Start Menu shortcut.

Its going to take us hours just to fix shortcuts.

Can you open source the installer?
