I'm running Windows 7 x64 in a virtual machine on a MacBook Pro using VMWare Fusion. I have been having many difficulties getting SourceTree to run.
First I had many update failures. Tried all of the recommended solutions on the forums here, uninstalled, updated .Net Framework version to the latest, updated Git to the latest, removed Atlassian directories, SourceTree directories, ran CCleaner. Made sure the Unused dictionary tag was in the user.config file per some postings from 2017.
Finally got it to install, although the installer said it failed I have the SourceTree.exe in the C:\Users\user\AppData\Local\SourceTree\app-3.1.2
Getting this AppCrash currently. Help. Supremely disappointed that there are so many issues with installing, updating and running SourceTree.

I'm having the same issue on windows 10 version 3.1.2. Going back to version 3.0.17 fixed the issue.
Uninstalled, reinstalled, installed as administrator, ccleaner, etc.
Make sure git installs and .net framework is at the latest and greatest.
Still getting crashes - won't start. Getting nice 32MB dump files in C:\Users\<user>\AppData\Local\CrashDumps -- uploaded to that same google drive folder.

@Mike Corsaro installed the enterprise version. That installed successfully. In
C:\Users\<user>\AppData\Local\Atlassian\SourceTree\[GUID]sourcetree.log I'm getting:
2019-04-13T18:44:53: no configuration section <common/logging> found - suppressing logging output

None of those logs really help much -- if the install failed then it's not surprising that it wouldn't work when you tried to run it.
What did the message from the installer say? You can also try running the enterprise installer and see if that helps.
Not that it should really matter that much, but running Win7 in a VM on a Mac certainly isn't something we currently test for, so I'm not surprised you're seeing issues 🙂

Additionally, could you send me the entire crash log file (upload it somewhere or email it to mcorsaro @ atlassian dot com)? Thanks!

@Mike Corsaro thanks for the reply. I'll post the VS debugging output if that's any help. I will try the enterprise installer now. I struggled to get any love from the installer + Squirrel log files.
