Source tree locks up on large files

I have some dependency lock files that are quite large. 3Mb or greater. When I make a change to these files and they show up in source tree, source tree becomes unusable.  I believe it is trying to prepare the diff, but all I get on my Mac desktop is a spinning rainbow. I eventually have to force quite and submit via command line else I am unable to ever use source tree again.

Is there anyway to prevent this?

You could reduce the text file size or ignore diffs with the lock file name pattern, both of which would disable the preview:

Thanks, that worked, it would be nice to fix this so that it doesn't lock up the program

PS. SourceTree still locks up when there are large diffs. Kind of ridiculous in 2022.
