Select a git commit with AppleScript or shell script

I would like to be able to write a Service to open a selected SHA1 from other programs in SourceTree.

I have my SHA1s stored in my Xcode archive comments when I do Archive build and I would like to be able to select the SHA and have a service to open SourceTree to that particular commit.

Is that possible now? If so, how is it accomplished? If not, can I add this as a feature request?

Thanks
