Select a git commit with AppleScript or shell script

I would like to be able to write a Service to open a selected SHA1 from other programs in SourceTree.

I have my SHA1s stored in my Xcode archive comments when I do Archive build and I would like to be able to select the SHA and have a service to open SourceTree to that particular commit.

Is that possible now? If so, how is it accomplished? If not, can I add this as a feature request?

Thanks

This isn't supported right now. Coincidentally, someone else opened a feature request for this in the last few days: https://jira.atlassian.com/browse/SRCTREE-1258#comment-415563 - please see if that covers your needs and if not, please add your thoughts to that thread.
