Repository Browser from v4.1.8: why all this spacing?

Goodmorning, I'd like to know why starting from the v4.1.8 the repository browser has now all that wasted space between folders (aka groups).

Thanks for the clarification, this is IMHO a big step back in UI experience and usability.

This bothers me too. It's the third version with this cap between groups.
