Reinstall sourcetree - HELP!

How can I get around this on the connecting to bitbucket step?  I tried Chrome, this was using IE with the same result.  I am using the SourceTreeSetup-3.1.2 installer.  Needless to say I am extremely frustrated with this whole process.  image.png

Hi John,

Sorry to hear about this problem with logging into a Bitbucket account from Sourcetree. However this is not just you that is having this problem. There is currently an outage in regards to Bitbucket Cloud's OAuth tokens are not working correctly. This is the cause of the inability to login here and in turn showing that 'Invalid redirect_uri' error message.

Atlassian has just updated our StatusPage about this incident that you can use to track this problem in https://bitbucket.status.atlassian.com/incidents/l50d1j43zdj9

I would recommend subscribing or watching that incident for update. Once this incident is resolved I would expect that you should then be able to use Sourcetree without this error.

In the meantime, @Seadna Smallwood posted a method to utilize SSH instead of the OAuth.  Details are in https://community.atlassian.com/t5/Sourcetree-questions/Cannot-setup-SourceTree-stuck-at-OAuth-authorization/qaq-p/1100327#U1100478 perhaps this could help as a work-around until the incident with Bitbucket has been resolved.

Sorry again for the inconvenience here.

Cheers,

Andy

I used an installer for an old version we had on our network and managed to coax it into cloning a local repository.  Heavy sigh of relief.

This is a known issue and has to do with OAuth, the Bitbucket team is aware of it and are actively working to resolve it. Check https://bitbucket.status.atlassian.com for more information.
