Open sourcetree from command line with multiple tabs

Tibor Csecsei May 3, 2023

What I would like to do:

  • I'd like to open sourcetree from commandline with multiple tabs (I'd like to specify the tabs).
  • (Optional: After that I'd like to open another instance with other tabs.)
  • It will help to specify aliases for these tabs.

What I tried:

  • [installpath]\sourcetree -f [repopath] not works (loading screen appears for ~1 second than disappears and nothing happens)
  • Same without -f, same with /?, same without any param ( ??? ).
  • There is not any error displayed.
  • It works from start menu.

Questions:

  • Q1.: How can I open sourcetree with multiple tabs from command line on Windows?
  • Q2.: How can I save and restore the opened tabs (together with the aliases)?
  • Q3.: Where can I found a reference documentation about command line parameters?

I will make a script what stores and restores these files:
C:\Users\%USERNAME%\AppData\Local\Atlassian\SourceTree\opentabs.xml
C:\Users\%USERNAME%\AppData\Local\Atlassian\SourceTree\bookmarks.xml

But this is not the best way to do it :(
