I can not sign in to bitbucket from source tree 2.1

Naoya Oe June 20, 2017

I have installed source tree 2.1.2.5 to my windows 10 Pro.

But I could not sign in bitbucket from the source tree although I have an account for bitbucket.

I checked get-started help (https://confluence.atlassian.com/get-started-with-sourcetree)

In installing source tree section,
(https://confluence.atlassian.com/get-started-with-sourcetree/install-sourcetree-847359094.html)

Log in to your Attlasian account did not appeared.

I tried to add acount putting tool-option-Authentication.
I checked Add button to have a Edit hosting account view.

Default setting was following.

Host
 Hosting Service : Bitbucket
Host URL : https://bitbucket/org (read only)
 Preferred Protocols : HTTPS

Credentials
 Authentication : OAuth
 Username : (empty)

Although I clicked username field it was read only and I could not enter the user name.

How can I sign in to bitbucket account with source tree version 2.1.2.5?

Hi Naoya, you should have been asked to register with your Atlassian account first. If you were not, can you uninstall and install SourceTree following the steps:

  1. Uninstall SourceTree
  2. Backup then delete the directory below before proceeding with next step
    • Navigate to C:\Users\<UserName>\AppData\Local and delete SourceTree & SourceTree-Settings folder
    • Navigate to C:\Users\<UserName>\AppData\Local\Atlassian and delete all SourceTree Files/Folder.
  3. Download and install SourceTree

If it still fails, can you clarify wether you're using Bitbucket Cloud or Server and attach a screenshot of your account settings?

Regards,

Ana
