How to improve the repository speed?

I work with sourtree in a  virtual machine. The server is far from my access. Do you know how to improve this connection?

Hello! We don't optimize for virtual machines currently, but we hope to improve this sometime in the future.

Thanks!

Most of the time the speed issue will not be the issue with the VM itself. Make sure you have enough line speed between your host PC and VM! Transfer a file from your VM to your PC or use Self-Hosted Speed test So you can run a Speed test  from your PC to VM quickly. You may not get full line speed from a server that is far away from your location. So from Hosted speed test if you are getting 5Mbps that is what you can expect in your work flow. No matter what you full line speed is. Hope this helps
