How does SourceTree Mac GUI decide how to sort the branches in the sidebar?

Those new to the Atlassian Community have posted less than three times. Give them a warm welcome!

Consider the screenshot below. These are 2 separate clones of the same remote repository. The folders exist, of course, because some of my branches have `/` in their name (e.g. `issue/fix-button-bug`). Notice how on the left, the branches are ordered branch-first, "folders" next, but on the right, it's completely alphabetical.

 

(the branch lists are non-identical because I've not pulled the same branches, but I'm not sure if this affects anything)

 

1) is there a logic in how this is controlled?

2) is there a way to specify a preference in this?

SourceTree Version 4.0 (232) on MacOS Catalina
