How do I start sourcetree on my computer (Windows 10)?

Adolfo Gomez-Cala October 12, 2019

I have just installed the thing but I don't know how to start it. No desktop icon, doesn't appear when I look on the start menu. Or it is a browser interface?

Actually it was quite easy. I mean, for Windows 10 standards.

  1. I uninstalled it in order to know where in my computer the applications files were. Believe me nobody would tell me, not even where.
  2. Then I in a stroke of genius I installed it back.
  3. Went to users folder and allowed system operating files to be displayed (to the abhor of the OS).
  4. Looked into AppData/Local/Sourcetree. There it was!
  5. Pinned the executable to the start menu.
  6. Hid the system files again.

Hopefully the developers will find a way to perhaps create a desktop icon next time. Let's hold our breath.
