Basically: part of my email address is being replaced.
When I make any Git commits in Sourcetree for Windows 22.214.171.124 , my email address shows up in the commit as like email@example.com (where hostname is the actual hostname of my laptop) instead of firstname.lastname@example.org (my corporate email address with a subdomain).
I set my email address in Sourcetree under Tools - Options. I allow Sourcetree to modify Git global configuration, and my .gitconfig looks correct in $USERPROFILE/.gitconfig
