Can't resize staging section in SourceTree

When I try to expand to the right, it just drags the window. Same when dragging the expansion slider to the left.

Now I am stuck with this when trying to view my staged files. Tried restarting the Mac app but still can't resize this section.

It is interesting it is 2024 and I just encountered this bug. There is no way to recover the UI on the Mac once you reach this state and the file status pane can no longer be dragged open.
