Not sure what changed because I didn't change anything but suddenly Sourcetree doesn't let me login anymore to pull/fetch from my repo.
I updated Sourcetree just now to the latest version.
I'm on Windows.
My settings on Sourcetree are these:
Sourcetree -> repository settings
I have my repository path with https://x@bitbucket.org/x/repo.git
it's configured with Optional extended integration where I see my Remote account correct.
Sourcetree -> Tools -> Options -> Authentication
under Accounts I have my account with correct info
Protocol: HTTPS
Authentication: Basic
this account is set as default
if I edit anything here it asks me to login and that works. I did refresh password already and it says "Authentication OK".
I did setup a Bitbucket App Password.
if I fetch or do anything else the authentication prompt will fail all the times, login fails.
What am I missing?
Thanks
Hi @adark I had a similar problem recently, I was getting a "Too many invalid password attempts. Log in at https://id.atlassian.com/ to restore access." error.
My solution was to go to the main menu, Tools > Options > Git tab then update my Git version using the "Update Embedded" button.
I don't know if this will fix your issue since you haven't mentioned any specific error messages, but it's worth a try.
Thank you, it was actually that simple.
