Hi everyone,

I'm trying to checkout a branch (using Clone) from Bitbucket to Sourcetree.

Everytime i do that it asks me the password for git user. Can anyone help of how can i find this detail?

Additionally, i'm getting this error when trying to fetch branch from SourceTree:

remote: Invalid username or password

fatal: Authentication failed for 'xxxx@xxxxxxx.com'

Any help is appreciated.

Thanks

If using the app password, remember to allow read access to the account also, as it is not enough with read/write to the repo itself.

Hey,

If you're on Windows, clsoe sourcetree, go to your "C:\Users\{USERNAME}\AppData\Local\Atlassian\SourceTree" folder and delete the "passwd" file, then restart it. It will ask your credentials again but you should be OK.
