Any way to reduce refresh time for source tree

Whenever I Switch between source tree and any other application, sourcetree attempt to refresh the display with any updated files. This process takes more than a minute for me. And even when I am working on source tree it seems that it will again refresh perhaps after every minute and slows down the work that I am doing with the application. Is there any way that I can increase the time of of sourcetree refresh when I am working on the app itself? Or is there anyway that I can reduce the duration of its refresh time.
Thank you for any inputs.

Hello! Which OS are you using?

You can disable the automatic refresh on focus by checking the setting "Refresh when application is not in focus" in Options > General
