After Catalina update, application keeps crashing

Grace Chang October 9, 2019

I've updated to the latest desktop Sourcetree app and every time I launch Sourcetree, I get a beachball with the preview window loading indefinitely. Even when I kill the app, I still cannot get the application to run properly.

Has anyone else run into this in the latest Mac OS update to Catalina?

For me, the app crashes as soon as I drag pending or staged files.

Experiencing the same issues with crashing, hoping for a fix.

Update: Crash only happens when I drag pending/staged files, I can still do things such as adding to index via. right clicking.

My experience is the same. Dragging pending files crashes every time. Other ways of staging work fine.

MacOS Catalina has been out for over 6 months now.

Many sources say that at least 50% of Mac users are on Catalina now.

Isn't it time to fix this simple but infuriating bug?!

facing the same issue, I use a Wacom tablet so the issue is even more pronounced since its easy to trigger a drag on the Wacom...very frustrating, not able to use the app for more than a few minutes

Same issue, it crashes as long as I try drag files from pending to staged.
