Adding a submodule with --name option from sourcetree

Edited

Hi,

I am trying to understand if from sourcetree is possible to add a submodule to a repo with the --name option, we need this to avoid too long pathname.

For example:

git submodule add --name foo  https://foo_server/foo.git  path

Also with custom commands if it's possible...

Hi

I'm afraid we don't currently support that option, although if you added them via the Git Terminal Sourcetree would list them. However it would list them using the path not the name.

You can add a feature request at https://jira.atlassian.com
