Add New Account to SourceTree

In Source Tree - I am attempting to PUSH files to a REMOTE but the system wants to assign a "Generic Account - Generic Host" for the credentials. I have no idea what the credentials are for this account so therefore the PUSH always fails. Is there a way to add a new account I can assign to this REMOTE?

Hello! I'll need more info about the host you're trying to push your code to.

But to answer your other question: you can add an account in 2 different ways:

  • Open a new tab, go to "Remote" and click "Add an account..."
  • From the toolbar, navigate to Tools > Options > Authentication > Click 'Add'
