I'm thinking of making a video teaching material on Git using sourcetree.
I am thinking of selling the material on sites such as Udemy (https://www.udemy.com/).
Sourcetree is free to use, so I am not paying for it.
Can I use Sourcetree in this case?
I've read Atlassian's license terms, but I'm not sure if there are any licensing issues for this type of use.
Hi @TNakamori , welcome to the Community!
In legal terms, Sourcetree falls under Atlassian's Software License Agreement as you probably read through already. In practical terms, anyone is free to use Sourcetree free of charge. This includes for commercial use. We're happy that you're able to use Sourcetree to produce your own software and make a profit from it!
Good luck creating your coursework, sounds interesting! Feel free to use Sourcetree in your material.
Cheers,
Daniel | Atlassian Support
