Maximized SourceTree covers auto-hidden taskbar

Having "Auto-hide the taskbar" enabled on Windows 7, when I maximize SourceTree it covers the few pixels at the bottom which let me access the task bar. This didn't happen with version 1.9. This forces me to either restore the window (de-maximize) or press the Win key.

On another topic, is it possible to reduce the tab width? Previously all projects fit in my screen and now they don't, despite their names are on average shorter than half of the tab size.

Finally, I also have the feeling that the UI is actually slower than 1.9.

Thanks!
