Trigger external System

Hendrik Adam August 28, 2012

Hi everyone,

we are using Jira OnDemand.

We need to send (RPC, SOAP, CURL, ...) information to an external
system by creating or updating a WorkLog for an issue.

Is there any Workflow or Notification or Event to do so?

Thanks for assistance!

Currently you have the WebHooks feature in Labs. Check out https://confluence.atlassian.com/display/AOD/Managing+Webhooks

As well as Jobin's "pull", you can use emails on events to trigger actions in other systems. That does rely on the other system being able to read and process the emails Jira sends though

You can't do it in onDemand. An option is to make use of JIRA's remote APIs (preferrably REST) and do a pull for the changes you want to listen in and then send the information to external system.
