Profile photo - Bigger than a thumbnail option?

Cathleen McGuire April 11, 2013

How can users display bigger versions of a profile photo?

Is it possible for users to hover over or click on any profile photo and be able to see a large version of the person?

Those thumbnails are way too small to see who's who. Doncha think?

The weird things is that the Atlassian Design Guidlines specifically talk about a 96x96 avatar. I can't seem to get it larger than 48x48 though.

I did find that if you upload an image using the API at 96x96 it does store in the system at that resolution. Then you can use some CSS in the global stylesheet to override the avatar width and height and set them from 48px to auto.
