Permissions setup like GitHub:Enterprise possible?

GeorgG January 28, 2013

Hi everyone,

we're currently evaluating Stash along with GitHub:Enterprise for an enterprise wide platform for sharing and collaborating on code. We already use (and very much like) JIRA and Confluence and the integration with Stash makes Stash a prime candidate for us. That said, we have one question related to access controlling Stash. Is it possible to allow anyone (possibly within an LDAP/Active Directory group) to create projects within Stash without giving him admin privileges to the server setup? From looking at the admin panel in Stash, this didn't seem to be possible.

Thanks in advance and cheers,

Georg

From the Admin pannel go to Global permissions/Groups and add the LDAP user group to the list and set the permission as "Project creator", this will allow all the users in the groups to create projects.

Alternatively, we could live with a project, in which everybody is allowed to create repository (i. e., everybody is project administrator). Is that possible by any chance?
