Can't create a user who is part of confluence-admin group for Confluence and a basic user for JIRA

Raphael Allegre September 25, 2012

I want to be the Admin of Confluence and a basic user of JIRA.

We didn't manage to do that. So far I can only be part of the administrator group for both JIRA and Confluence or part of the user group.

Hi Raphael,

The user must be part of the "users" group to have access to the instance. What you can do then is grant him administrator permissions inside Confluence Global Permissions.

Go to administration, click on the wiki tab, then global permissions. Add this user as "individual user" and set his permissions exactly as the "andministrators" permissions. Now you have a basic user of JIRA who have administrator permissions for Confluence.

Also, please note that the group "Confluence-admin" is not for customer use, as stated in the documentation https://confluence.atlassian.com/display/AOD/Default+groups+and+permissions+in+Atlassian+OnDemand

Hope it helps!

Cheers.
