Problems/error with macro as part of an Answer in Confluence questions

I am trying to use Confluence questions and answer with some macros, special Include Page so I can reuse content from my Confluence intance.

When I start typing the macro { ... I am getting the Open Macro Browser option, but only the Code Macro is visible there.

so I pasted a Page Include macro from other page and it worked ok. BUT, when I tried to edit the paramenters of the macro (change page to include).. I get this message:

No Macro Metadata

There is no metadata configured for this macro which means no configuration screen can be presented here.

If this is a user macro then you can add metadata to the template using the User Macro Administration console.

Hi Fabian, Questions uses a simplified version of the Confluence editor, and at the moment code block is the main macro available.

Were you wanting to use the Include macro in a Question or an Answer?

We have an issue open here for adding some more macros, feel free to comment on the issue and tell us about how you would use the Include macros.

I would like to use some macros on the Question Description box and Answer box, Primarly on the Answer so I can include content from the same instance of Confluence. In most of the cases the answer are already published, so instead of adding a link I would like to include the page or excerpt. (I voted for reported issues about this in your JIRA CQ project) Thanks!

I noticed that if I create the macro in a regular confluence page and then paste it into the Answer the page is included. But we are not able to edit the macro. So as a workaround I was doing this for the pages we want to include

I am not sure how safe is this solution, but is helping me to reuse the same content.

Also I noticed that if we use the Questions List in the included page the results are ok too.

The problem I see in this particular case is that I am not able to vote or accept the answer.

would really like to apply some macros on the query Description container and answer box, Primary on the answer so I can include content from the equal instance of Confluence.

thanks Bill. I pasted the macros from other pages and they are working, but I am not able to edit them.

I will publish the site this friday so I will add the link here. Include page macro is good so we can reuse content from other areas of confluence. I got the idea from a post mentioning some approaches to increase the use of content already developed.

Thanks for Questions it is a very good plugin.

I linked the issue I reported to the one you have there

Being able to use the "include" macro in an Answer would be great indeed. I voted for https://jira.atlassian.com/browse/CQ-664
