Confluence Cloud support for websequencediagrams?

Jim van Dam September 23, 2015

Are there any plans to support the websequencediagrams plugin for Confluence Cloud?

We would really like to integrate that functionality with our Confluence Cloud spaces.

The hosted-plugin is also currently marked as 'unsupported', while the plugin only calls their external service and returns an image based on the text. This seems harmless, but maybe there are other issues?

Agree with that too! Would be great to support WebSequenceDiagrams on Confluence on Cloud. Any plans for that or may you explain if there is any restriction to make it available today?

Agree, WebSequenceDiagrams is extremely useful and it should be available in the Cloud version of confluence!

There is a paid add-on on the Atlassian Marketplace that gives you this feature: confluence-sequence-diagrams

That might meet your needs.

Hey Robert... Thanks for the quick response.

I have tried that add-on, it's just not quite on par with the websequencediagrams solution which seems to work perfectly with your on-prem solution.

I agree with Jim, websequencediagrams is tremendously more productive for creating sequence diagrams than Gliffy.  They have a plugin that works with the on prem version of Confluence.  It would be awesome to make that available to the confluence cloud users as well.

Yes, we have a subscription and actually use Gliffy for a lot of our diagrams. But, nothing beats the very quick creation and easy maintenance of sequence diagrams using wsd. We have quite a lot of them (sequence diagrams) and it would be great to integrate it seamlessly in Confluence Cloud.
