JQL query to find child issues of Initiative

Thomas Nielsen May 2, 2019

(issuekey in childIssuesOf("INIT-001") works, but don't want to hardcode the ID into the filter.

Is there any way to just list all issue that is child of an issuetype = Initiative?

(issuekey in childIssuesOf("issuetype = Initiative")

@Thomas Nielsen I don't think this is possible, since childIssuesOf() takes only one argument, which can be an issuekey, but it does not take another JQL subquery as an argument.

I believe if you have Advanced Roadmaps (Portfolio) for Jira downloaded, you would be able to use the function "portfolioChildrenOf()" which does allow the input of a subquery. More info and examples of use cases HERE
