We want to create an automation that if an SLA is breached we want to notify the users in an affected services group. Our affected services groups are connected to opsgenie where the members are listed. Possible?
Hey Mikel,
Thanks for reaching out to Atlassian Community!
It is possible to notify users in an affected services group when an SLA is breached in Opsgenie. You can create an integration or use Opsgenie automation rules to trigger alerts based on the status of the SLA in your connected system (e.g., Jira Service Management).
In this setup, the breach of an SLA could trigger an alert, and then based on the impacted services or teams, Opsgenie can notify the members of those services. You would set this up using alert policies or notifications in Opsgenie that target specific groups or service teams.
This would require mapping the SLA breach event from your system (e.g., Jira Service Management) to an Opsgenie alert and making sure the affected services are correctly associated with the team members in Opsgenie.
I hope this helps.
Best Regards,
Egor
Thanks, Egor. I will test this when I am back in the office on Monday.
